Gladiator II (2024) is a direct sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 epic Gladiator.
Movie Summary / Plot:
The story follows Lucius Verus, the grown-up nephew of Emperor Commodus and son of Lucilla. Years after witnessing the heroism of Maximus, Lucius is living in exile when he is forced into slavery and trained as a gladiator. As he fights for survival in the arena, Lucius must confront political turmoil in Rome and decide whether to reclaim his birthright or embrace his identity as a warrior.
The film stars Paul Mescal as Lucius, alongside Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, and Connie Nielsen, who reprises her role as Lucilla.
